Shakespearean Journey: Terminale BFI’s Inspiring Trip to London

From February 13th to 15th, 2025, Terminale BFI students from the Lycée Français de Barcelone embarked on an enriching journey to London, immersing themselves in the world of William Shakespeare.

The adventure began with a visit to the iconic Shakespeare’s Globe, where students participated in an engaging theatre workshop led by professional actors. They explored the history of the Globe Theatre and had the unique opportunity to step into the shoes of Shakespearean characters.

Beyond the stage, the trip offered cultural and academic discoveries, including visits to prestigious institutions such as King’s College London and Imperial College London. Students also enjoyed the vibrant artistic scene at the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery.

The journey concluded with a guided tour of Shakespeare’s Globe, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the playwright’s legacy. Strolling through Westminster and Covent Garden, they reflected on an unforgettable experience that brought literature and history to life.

This trip not only strengthened their appreciation for Shakespeare but also broadened their perspectives on theatre, culture, and higher education opportunities in London.
